AtthebeginningoftheFallSemester2007,manystudentsfromBusinessCollegeandLawSchoolatSuzhouUniversityaskedmethesamequestion:“HowcouldIimprovemyoralEnglish?”AsChinahasenteredtheageofglobalization,theneedfortheskillsinpublicspeakingintheEnglishlanguagecontinuestogrow.Ontheuniversitycampus,thestudents’interestinimprovingtheiroralEnglishcompetenciesalsogrows.ThisquestionisnolongerraisedonlybytheEnglishmajors;ithasbecomeincreasinglypopularwithnon-Englishmajorstudents.Obviously,moreandmorestudentscometorealizetheimportanceofdevelopingoralEnglishskills.
